Short+Sweet Hollywood 2016 Winners!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

In 3 weekends we have presented - 62 plays with 60 directors, 60 writers and 307 actors - and only 12 staff members made this festival happen!

Final Results

The results are in, and it's a bit of a landslide!

Carl J. Sorheim's play, It's All The Rage, took home four of our six awards last night, and they were well deserved!

The play won the People's Choice award and the Best Production award. Director Chris Baldock won Best Director, and actor Nick Steain won Best Actor.

What time is it? Is it time for him to come? An innocent conversation turns into a  violent and alarming one. It beckons the terrifying idea that perhaps an Ice Age is safer than the current circumstances that face their reality.

 

Canberra Shortlist

The shortlist for Short+Sweet Theatre Canberra 2016 can now be announced!

Directors have made their selections, and we can now congratulate the fantastic playwrights whose scripts made it onto this year's shortlist. The calibre of plays was excellent, and it was great to see such great writing coming in from Canberra, the Capital Region and all over the world. 

The program for the festival is still being finalised, and will be made available very soon. but for now, it's time to congratulate the shortlisted writers!
