SHORT+SWEET ILLAWARRA THEATRE FESTIVAL 2021

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FORM

For directors to complete and submitted by Friday 18th June. If you need more time, that's ok, but please contact Luke asap and let him know.

There is a handy little online drawing tool at https://kleki.com/ if you would like to upload a drawing plan. Don't worry, it doesn't need to be fancy or be to scale. Just give us an idea where you want to put things.

Please provide a brief synopsis that tells us what your play is about. We will mostly use this on social media posts and our website, so try to make it catchy.
What is the opening mood or feel of your piece? This helps us mostly in creating a balanced running order over the week, though is not the only factor we consider.
What is the final mood or feel of your piece? This helps us mostly in creating a balanced running order over the week, though is not the only factor we consider.
Please list all the set pieces and furnuture items that need to be set on stage, or brought on at any time in your play. Please ensure that all your set pieces are necessary for your play, try to keep it to the bare basic. Things to include here are things like lounge, bed, coffee table, hat post, side table or a set piece that you need to bring in that's specific for your play. Please remember these will need to be approved by our production team, but we usually find a way to make it work.
Please list what props you will be bringing in for your play. This helps us make sure we have sufficient storage options backstage to mind your props during the week's season. If you have any special costume requirements where our crew may need to offer assistance, please indicate here. However, props and costumes are always the responsibility of the actors.
Please let us know if you require any lighting special effects, such as a spotlight, or if you need the lights to focus on a partular area of the stage. Try to list your lighting states in the order you would like to use these in. This allows our production team to ensure our festival lighting rig is set to accommodate your needs. Please feel free to use lighting to enhance the mood of your piece, but please resist the urge of putting too many cues in. Every lighting state will take time to program into the lighting board and practice the cue with your actors. This can risk using up all your technical rehearsal time, meaning your actors may not get a full run of their play on your tech night.
Please tell us how many audio or sound cues you will use. You can select multiple options.
If you would like to upload a drawing of your stage floor plan you are welcome to upload here. You can draw a quick for us using the easy and free online web-drawer. https://kleki.com/ Doesn't have to be fancy or to scale!
