Theatre is back, and we are looking for actors to take the stage in the return of Short+Sweet Theatre Illawarra - Wollongong's contribution to the world's largest little-play festival.

It doesn't matter how old you are, what your cultural background is, your shape or size - with over 30 plays being performed, odds are there will be a role for you!

Directing for Short+Sweet is a fantastic opportunity for new directors to gain experience in producing short-form theatre. It is also a perfect opportunity for established directors to take a risk and try something new.

Short+Sweet Illawarra Theatre 2022

Short+Sweet Illawarra returns for its fourth and biggest season of bite-sized theatre to-date after its never-say-die sellout season in 2021 - a season not even COVID could deter.

2022 will see our Short+Sweet's "boutique" festival return with two weeks of theatre plays and our Short Film Festival.
