Short+Sweet Dubai is currently accepting submissions of ten-minute plays. Submit your script here to be considered for Dubai's fifth annual Short+Sweet festival.
SHORT+SWEET is an Australian organisation that runs the largest festival of 10 minute plays in the world, as well as educational workshops and training programmes.
After the smash hit successes of our Festivals in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Short+Sweet Dubai will return bigger and better in January 2017! Short+Sweet Dubai 2017 will be held across a number of venues from 27 January to 10 March 2017. More than 250 of Dubai’s most exciting actors, writers, directors and Independent Theatre Companies will present around eighty 10-minute plays.
The festival will include something for everyone - comedy, drama, romance and thrillers – and all in just 10 minutes! Plays presented in the festival will include the best 10-minute plays from around the world as well as scripts by some of Dubai’s top playwrights, brought to life by Dubai's finest actors and directors.
Short+Sweet Dubai is Dubai's biggest and best short play festival and brings together Dubai's top theatre groups - Backstage, Dubai Drama Group, Theatrics, Third Half Theatre, Orb Theatricals, Aish Outt Productions, Natakwale, Thespis Greek Theatre and Theatrewallas. In addition many of Dubai's schools and universities regularly participate in the festival - The American School of Dubai, The American University of Dubai, Heriot-Watt University, Wollongong University, Emirates Aviation College and Maplewood International School Abu Dhabi.
