Short+Sweet Malaysia
Short+Sweet Theatre is the biggest short play festival in the world. First produced at the Newtown Theatre in Sydney, Australia in 2002, the Festival arrived in Malaysia in 2008!
The Festival made its debut in one of the most prestigious theatre establishment in the country, The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre –KLPAC in August 2008.
The Festival is a hub for creative Malaysians to showcase their talents in a highly creative, collaborative and professional environment.
This innovative and fresh theatre festival features ten-minute plays that showcase the best of Malaysia’s established and emerging writers, directors and actors.

Short+Sweet Theatre 2009 will feature 10 minute plays in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin. Short-listed plays not selected for the top 20 will also receive a staged-reading. The Gala Final Week will conclude the festival.
