Melbourne 2007

Fast+Fresh Theatre Melbourne 2007 was a huge success, with 29 plays submitted by 15 schools including Brunswick Secondary College, Melbourne Girls’ College, Eltham College, Elizabeth Murdoch College, Santa Maria College, MBTA, Upwey High School, and more. Over 160 students participated over 3 nights of heats.

It was an exciting night at the Gala Final with over 50 excited young artists and an enthusiastic and supportive audience filling the Fairfax Studio at the Arts Centre on Saturday 26 May.

Hosted by Isabel and Dean, the two MCs for the evening, 10 plays selected from the heats were presented to the audience and to the panel of judges who then selected the winners for the evening.

The judges for the Gala Final were:

All the plays were wonderfully diverse and entertaining as well as thought-provoking.

The judges also wanted to commend Santa Maria College for their very distinctive movement / theatre piece, “Isolated”

“iFam” gained entry into Short+Sweet Theatre Melbourne later that year.
